I don't even know where to begin describing these cookie. Holy Cow Batman! comes to mind. I have to tell you these really blew my mind. I guess I wasn't sure about the combination. Weird huh. I mean what's not to love? Dories original recipe had raisins in it along with peanuts. I guess that's the part that wasn't working for me. Well, my daughter and I just decided to omit the raisins and switch the nuts to walnuts and bake up a batch. These were so off the charts delicious. I couldn't believe it. The recipe makes a large bunch but we went through it like it was a tiny amount. It was almost embarrassing. Well, anyway, if you haven't tried these yet you are truly in for a very sweet treat!
This recipe is at my new site. Hope to see you there :) I've posted a lot of new things.
Here's the home address: http://www.gonnawantseconds.com/

Wow...these look so delicious and chewy! I love it!
ReplyDeleteThat looks so good.
ReplyDeleteHi Kathleen: Thanks for the "visit" which brought me to your blog and the recipe for "health cookies". Is it o.k. for me to rename them? Oatmeal is good for cholesterol and the heart, chocolate helps the heart, walnuts are extremely important for good health and condensed milk just means one is getting more milk than usual. The fact that they look and sound absolutely delicious is just an added bonus.
ReplyDeleteBest,
Bonnie
Thank you for the visit to the blog. The cheese is wonderful I strongly recommend it. They sell it in Whole Foods. It's called the Drunken Goat Cheese.
